Family Law
We have a strong and dedicated team of family barristers with over 40 years of experience covering all aspects of family law, including private child law involving child arrangements orders between parents and public child law encompassing all aspect of care and adoption proceedings and child abduction. We act for parents, local authorities, grandparents and children’s guardians.
We also deal with all aspects of matrimonial and financial disputes and our members can advise and represent as required following the breakdown of a relationship, subsequent separation and/or divorce.
Our barristers are frequently involved in complex and legal challenging cases including cases involving issues of domestic violence, intra-familial/ generational sexual abuse, female genital mutilation and forced marriage spanning multiple jurisdictions.
We are committed to excellence, combining fearless advocacy with technical expertise. Our strength lies in the diverse backgrounds of our barristers who are able to approach cases with the particular sensitivity required, taking into account the client’s individual cultural and religious background. There are over 5 over languages spoken within the team, including Yoruba, Hausa-Arabic, French, Spanish and Russian.
We take a holistic approach to dealing with our cases, engaging other disciplines within Chambers when a case requires it.
Most of our members are direct-access qualified and their services can be engaged directly by members of the public.
