On the 26thย February 2026, theย Supreme Court of the United Kingdomย handed down judgment in the conjoined appeals ofย R v ABJ & BDN.

Michael Mansfieldย KC acted forย ABJ, leading Owen Greenhall ofย Garden Court Chambers, instructed byย Hodge Jones & Allen LLP.

The appeals concerned the compatibility of the offence of โ€œexpressing support for a proscribed organisationโ€, contrary to section 12(1A) of the Terrorism Act 2000, with Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
