𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀

On the 26^th February 2026, the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom handed down judgment in the conjoined appeals of R v ABJ & BDN.

Michael Mansfield KC acted for ABJ, leading Owen Greenhall of Garden Court Chambers, instructed by Hodge Jones & Allen LLP.

The appeals concerned the compatibility of the offence of “expressing support for a proscribed organisation”, contrary to section 12(1A) of the Terrorism Act 2000, with Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
