Ife Thompson- Success at 3-day Private Family Fact Finding Hearing

Ife Thompson, instructed by Sam Ulegede at Gans and Co Solicitors, successfully acted for the applicant father in a multi-day fact-finding hearing, where cross-allegations had been made. The mother had made several allegations against the father, including Sexual abuse (rape), physical abuse, verbal abuse, financial abuse, psychological abuse and further controlling and coercive behaviour towards both the mother and the children.

Ife conducted a rigorous cross-examination of the mother and another witness over the course of two days. The court also heard evidence from the mother’s friend, the father and the father’s friend. As part of the trial the court was taken through police reports and medical records. In a detailed 21-page written Judgement, the Recorder found the serious allegations against the father of Sexual abuse (rape), coercive and controlling behaviour, and financial/physical abuse were found not to be proven Additionally, the matter has been adjourned for the preparation of a section 7 report by CAFCASS.
