Johnny is a highly capable and thorough advocate known for his approachable manner. He builds a strong rapport with clients, evidenced by consistent positive feedback from both lay and professional clients. He joined chambers in December 2024 following the successful completion of his pupillage.
Johnny accepts instructions in criminal defence, personal injury, and both private and public family law matters. His criminal practice covers all aspects of criminal work in the Crown, Magistrates, and Youth Courts, including complex cases instructed via certificate for counsel.
He is a qualified Youth Court advocate, having completed the Advocacy for Children in Conflict with the Law training programme with the Inns of Court College of Advocacy.
In personal injury, Johnny represents clients in small claims and Fast Track cases. His family practice regularly involves matters concerning domestic violence allegations, psychiatric concerns, and alleged substance misuse.
Before coming to the Bar, Johnny had an established career in the financial services industry, advising clients on complex financial arrangements. This experience gives him valuable insight into financial conduct and regulation, which he applies effectively in fraud and financial cases.
